So why is movement so important for little ones?
According to NHS Guidelines*, being physically active every day is important for the healthy growth and development of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Specifically, toddlers (aged 1 to 2) and preschoolers (aged 3 to 4) should be physically active every day for at least 180 minutes (3 hours). How does NCAW help with this?
Sometimes, we all need a little encouragement to get physically active, and making movement more fun is a huge motivator! During our Gabby’s Dollhouse takeover for NCAW, children can engage with a theme they find exciting, and every Tumble Tots class they attend contributes 45 minutes to their daily goal of 180 minutes. Spreading movement throughout the day is particularly important for toddlers and preschoolers as children under 5 should not be inactive for long periods, except when they’re asleep.*What’s in store during NCAW 2024?
We’ll be celebrating movement in classes all week with brand new Gabby’s Dollhouse themed activities. Attend classes at your usual time and place to join in with the fun! Every Tumble Tot attending a NCAW class will also receive an exclusive Gabby’s Dollhouse sticker for their sticker book.
And that’s not all – we’ve also got an AMAZING Gabby’s prize bundle to give away to one lucky Tumble Tot:
- Channel DJ Catnip with a karaoke machine and on-ear wireless kids’ headphones
- Watch all the new episodes and play fun games with a kids’ tablet
- Enjoy playtime with a Gabby’s Dollhouse watch, phone and Pandy Paws talking cuddly
