Generic Franchising Benefits
Franchising is a proven business model for entrepreneurs who have the determination and drive to operate their own business whilst being supported along their journey by a team of experts within a given sector.
In research carried out by the BFA and NatWest findings showed that 97% of Franchises are profitable with franchise systems employing over 710,000 people in the UK.
Tumble Tots (UK) Ltd. along with our 44 Franchisees (as of April 2023), work hard to build prosperous businesses that provide skills for life for, not only the children attending, but for parents/carers, staff, and Franchisees themselves.
Brand Reputation
A Franchisor has built a recognisable brand that is trusted to deliver an excellent service and product, this immediately provides Franchisees with greater steppingstones whilst building their business.
The Tumble Tots brand is bold, it’s vibrant, it’s recognisable but most importantly, it’s trustworthy. For decades parents and carers have trusted our brand in delivering fun, physical play classes for their early-years children. Our brand reputation provides Franchisees with an advantage within their territories, parents and carers are immediately reassured when they see our brand. They have the confidence that the service they and their children will receive will be professional and unparalleled. And above all else, their children will have fun at our sessions!
Stability
The business model of the Franchise is tried and tested; the Franchisor has gained imperative insight into their relevant sector which helps to create a stable Franchise model.
Tumble Tots has a superior advantage within the children’s activity sector with the Franchise successfully operating for over 44 years. David Hunt (Managing Director) discusses our longevity and how the survival of the business in an ever-expanding sector shows stability, even through some of the hardest times:
‘There is no denying that Tumble Tots has seen its fair share of ups and downs, from recessions to pandemics, to now a cost-of-living crisis. However, through all of these bumpy times, there is no doubt that our flawless and well-respected programme and genuine efforts of our Franchisees ensures that our business, and Franchisees businesses, remain rock solid.’
Expertise
As a Franchisor the team supporting each Franchisee has built an expertise within their sector whether this be immediately linked to the product, or from an operational, financial, marketing or HR perspective. Tumble Tots Franchisees do not necessarily need to have a detailed understanding of these areas, all we require is that they have an open approach to learning and developing their skill set.
Tumble Tots regularly engages with expert knowledge within the sector, alongside our own in-house expertise, to ensure that the programme we are offering parents and early years children remains of the highest quality and benefit to those attending. During our Healthy Heroes Campaign (2022), Philippa Youlden was integral in providing research-backed insights to help ensure the content shared with the Tumble Tots community was current, industry approved, and engaging.
Advice, Guidance & Training
No matter the length in which a Franchisee has been a part of a Franchise, there will always be the requirement for advice, guidance, and training whether this be formal or informal. The advice that a Franchisor can provide Franchisees is invaluable and can be moulded to suit each individual Franchisee and context.
Charlotte Bedford MA (Technical Director) uses her professional insights to regularly deliver thorough training across the franchise network. This ensures that Franchisees and their teams are confident in delivering our programme, a point in which helped Catherine Byrne (Tumble Tots Gloucester) make the decision to become a Franchisee. Catherine knew ‘that [Tumble Tots] was a reputable Franchise with a proven record of training of support’ and this has helped her business grow and expand with her territory.
We at Tumble Tots, also aim to empower our Franchisees through the support that each and every one of them receives throughout their time as a Franchisee. Owning a Tumble Tots business has meant that Sarah Wiseglass (Tumble Tots Epsom) has not only developed her leadership skills, but has helped her ‘grow as a person’ as well. This, as a Franchisor, is extremely rewarding, in the sense not only are we, as a collective, positively impacting the development of early years children. But, we are having a positive impact on those running small businesses within their local community.
