We are incredibly proud to share the news that Harry aged 15, has been selected for the England Junior Tumbling Squad for 2026.
This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to his talent, dedication, and love of movement.
Harry’s story is special because his journey began at Tumble Tots.
Where It Started
Harry first joined Tumble Tots at the age of two, following his older brother into classes in Knutsford with Jane, before later attending sessions in Warrington with Carolyn.
From the very beginning, Harry showed a clear enjoyment of physical activity. His parents remember how much he embraced the sessions, confidently taking on new challenges and developing his climbing and balancing skills week by week.
These early experiences played an important role in building the physical foundations that would later support his progression into gymnastics and tumbling.
Developing Skills Through Movement
During his time at Tumble Tots, Harry developed key physical skills such as balance, coordination, and body awareness. Alongside this, he grew in confidence and enthusiasm, developing a positive approach to learning new skills and overcoming challenges.
His parents noticed how motivated he was during sessions and how much he enjoyed progressing through the activities. This combination of enjoyment and determination has remained a consistent part of Harry’s journey.
A Natural Progression Into Tumbling
Moving into gymnastics felt like a natural next step for Harry.
Harry says, “I remember really enjoying the obstacle courses, the parachute, aeroplane arms and the tapping sticks song,”.
What began as playful exploration of movement soon developed into a strong interest in tumbling. Through focused training, resilience, and perseverance, Harry continued to build and refine his skills, even during periods when injuries tested his determination.
A Moment To Be Proud Of
Being selected for the England Junior Tumbling Squad marked an important milestone for Harry and his family.
They shared, “As parents, we were extremely proud when we heard Harry had been selected, he has always trained hard, remained determined to improve, and never gave up, even when faced with setbacks.”
For Harry, the moment represented the achievement of a long term goal.
“I felt very happy and excited when I found out I had been selected for the England Squad,” he says. “It was something I had been working towards for a long time.”
Advice For Today’s Tumble Tots
Reflecting on his own journey, Harry has a simple message for children currently starting out at Tumble Tots:
“Do not be afraid to try new things. You never know what you are capable of or what you can achieve. Learning to roll and flip is great fun.”
Harry’s journey demonstrates the long term impact of introducing children to movement early and helping them develop essential skills in a positive, supportive environment.
From his first Tumble Tots sessions at the age of two to representing England at junior level, Harry’s story reflects the foundations at the heart of our programme: developing physical skills, building confidence, and creating a lifelong positive relationship with physical activity.
