About Us

About Us

We are Jacky and Helen and have been joint Franchise owners since 2013. We first met when our little ones were teeny and found a common ground in children’s activities. We both enjoyed attending Tumble Tots classes before going on to run a local Toddler group together. When the opportunity arose to buy the local Tumble Tots franchise we jumped at the chance and haven’t looked back.

We are very proud to have an excellent Tumble Tots trained team who are friendly and here to help and encourage the children whilst on the equipment. We are here to give you and your child the best experience whilst attending the classes, making sure that your child develops their skills and confidence safely whilst having lots of fun!

Classes are held Monday to Friday during term time at North Hykeham, Mansfield, Newark and Southwell. See our schedule for locations, class times and availability. Booking is essential. Ensure to book ASAP so not to be disappointed.

Tumble Tots is a premium children's physical activity programme, from Walking (around 1 year old) to school age (4 years). Designed to develop children’s physical skills of agility, balance, co-ordination and climbing, through the use of brightly coloured Tumble Tots equipment, especially designed for little people.

According to the physical activity guidelines issued by the four Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland regular physical activity in children and young people is associated with improved learning and attainment, better mental health and cardiovascular fitness, also contributing to healthy weight status. Toddlers and pre-schoolers should spend at least 180 minutes (3 hours) per day in a variety of physical activities. The Tumble Tots programme has been carefully designed to promote physical activity, sport and exercise in children for physical and mental health benefits.

We currently run the following "age and stage" classes in your area;
- Walking to 2 years
- 2 to 3 years
- 3 years to school age

Pricing and term information
There are three elements to booking our regular Tumble Tots classes;
1) Annual Membership 2) Regular monthly class fees 3) Class fees covering payment:

1) Annual Membership
The first element requires your child to become a member of the Tumble Tots National Club to participate in classes. Your membership is paid at the same time as confirming your regular booking, so that we can set-up your child's personal accident insurance policy to cover your little one to attend classes straight away. The annual membership fee is £27 per child. In addition, your child will receive a welcome pack posted directly to them including their iconic Tumble Tots T-Shirt, Backpack, Sticker Book, Membership Card and Handbook. We also offer a reduced rate for Renewals and members can take advantage of our exclusive offers, discounts, competitions and many more member benefits! Please encourage your Tumble Tot to wear their t-shirt to help them feel a sense of unity and pride with their fellow Tumble Tots, as well as the practical aspect of wearing comfortable loose clothing for climbing! If you would like their name adding to their T-shirt please ask one of our team at your class.
NB - our annual membership is mandatory, non-transferable, non-refundable and valid for one year.
To view the full details of our membership programme please visit: https://www.tumbletots.com/newark/membership

2) Regular monthly class fees
At the same time as confirming your booking, you will pre-enter your credit or debit card details to authorise us to take a recurring payment on the 1st of a month for your child's class fees. A recurring payment is similar to a direct debit but taken from a valid debit or credit card and not directly from your bank account.
The monthly fee is £31.00 and will be automatically processed on the 1st of the month for classes in the same month, i.e. September class fees will be paid on 1st September.
We operate classes during school term time only and your monthly subscription plan covers class fees for a full school calendar year, which have then been divided into 11 convenient recurring monthly payments. Your subscription will be paused in August, due to the extended summer holiday. You may cancel your child's classes at any time in writing to Newark@tumbletots.com. One further full subscription payment will be collected.

3) Class fees covering payment

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop children’s essential ‘Skills for Life’ and to create a positive association with physical activity at an early age, helping little ones grow up healthy and happy.

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop children’s essential ‘Skills for Life’ and to create a positive association with physical activity at an early age, helping little ones grow up healthy and happy.

Our Values

Development is at the heart of our programme because children develop faster in the first three years of their lives compared to any other time.

Therefore, it is important to introduce little ones to a range of different activities as early as possible to help them learn and develop physical, cognitive, and social skills.

Our Values

Our mission is to develop children’s essential ‘Skills for Life’ and to create a positive association with physical activity at an early age, helping little ones grow up healthy and happy.

Our Programme

Our programme is designed to develop children’s physical, cognitive and social skills through a range of activities using our brightly coloured bespoke wooden, foam and handheld equipment.

Each individual piece of apparatus and the activities that accompany them, are specially designed to aid a different aspect of children's development, and vary between the classes to reflect the developmental needs of that age group.

We provide a happy and safe environment for children to meet and engage with other little ones, as well as grownups, forming and building relationships which are important for social learning and personal wellbeing.

As children progress through the programme, they will develop and refine their skills further, learn new proficiencies and gain more confidence in their abilities, which is one of many reasons parents chose Tumble Tots.

Our Story

Tumble Tots was first created in 1979 by former British Olympic gymnastics coach, Bill Cosgrave who identified that the children coming to his sessions were not equipped with the necessary fundamental physical skills needed to perform basic gymnastic movements.

Consequently, he developed classes to teach children these simple but essential skills, before moving on to his gymnastics lessons, which evolved into the progressive physical play programme that we know and love today.

Whilst our classes have remained largely unchanged over the years, our programme has evolved through a greater understanding of the importance of physical activities in overall early years development.

The longevity of Tumble Tots is a testament to the quality of our programme which is demonstrated by past generations who see the value of classes by benefiting themselves and therefore bring their children and grandchildren today.
