Last weekend, we had the most brilliant time at TOTFest in Wetherby, and we are still buzzing from the incredible atmosphere, the laughter of little ones, and the warmth of so many wonderful families who came along to join in the fun.
With more than 5,000 tickets sold, TOTFest Wetherby was truly one for the books, and we could not be prouder to have been a part of it as exhibitors.
What Is TOTFest?
TOTFest is the UK’s biggest all-inclusive festival for under 5s. It is a festival built entirely for children aged 1 to 5 and their grown ups, and every show, activity, and space has been carefully curated to suit their size, pace, and imagination.
Touring Yorkshire, Surrey, Cheshire, and Berkshire during 2026, once you are through the gates it is all included, with over 50 shows, sessions, rides, acts, and activities completely free and unlimited. It truly is pure, unfiltered fun.
TOTFest operates on a free roam ethos which focuses on walk-up and play programming, meaning maximum flexibility and a packed programme of hands-on, drop-in experiences where children can dip in and out as they please.
We were absolutely thrilled to be part of this incredible event as exhibitors, bringing the Tumble Tots experience to thousands of families across the day.
The Tumble Tots Space: Climbing, Balancing, and Proud Little Faces
One of the highlights of our day was seeing the reaction of children the moment they spotted the Tumble Tots space. From the moment the gates opened, little ones were racing in, eyes wide with excitement at the sight of our colourful equipment.
Throughout the day, we watched children climbing, balancing, crawling, and working their way through our specially designed challenges. Whether they were crossing a balance beam for the very first time or confidently tackling a climbing frame they had mastered many times before in their weekly classes, every single child gave it their absolute all.
And the stickers? A huge hit. After completing the challenges, children proudly collected their Tumble Tots stickers, smiling from ear to ear. For many little ones, that sticker was the ultimate reward, a genuine moment of achievement, with parents coming back asking for another one as their little one lost theirs.
“The Best Activity of the Day”
We will be honest: hearing parents describe Tumble Tots as “the best activity of the day” genuinely made our hearts sing.
TOTFest featured a wonderful range of entertainment, activities, and things to see and do across the whole site. For parents to single out the Tumble Tots space in that way means the world to our franchisees, our instructors, and everyone who works hard to make our classes so special week after week.
It is a reminder of just how important physical play is for young children, not only for their bodies but for their confidence, their social development, and their sheer enjoyment of life. When children move, they grow. And when they grow in a fun, encouraging environment like Tumble Tots, the results speak for themselves.
Why Physical Play Matters for Young Children
At Tumble Tots, everything we do is rooted in an understanding of early childhood development. Children aged six months to five years are at a critical stage of physical and cognitive growth, and movement plays a central role in that process.
Here is why structured physical play is so important during these early years:
- Balance and coordination: Learning to balance on a beam or crawl through a tunnel builds the neural pathways children rely on throughout their lives, from riding a bike to writing with a pencil.
