On Saturday 11th May, Tumble Tots attended the first ever Club Hub Event at Balls Brothers in London, organised by the Founder and Director of Club Hub, Tessa Robinson. For a first-time event, it was great to see such a huge turnout. The venue was incredible, everything was so well organised, and we can’t wait to go again!

Highlights of the event included two expert speakers, Hasan Kubba and Junior Ogunyemi, who gave great talks about helping businesses grow through social media, brand awareness, marketing, franchising, sales, customer service and everything that entails running a business. Over 200 other activity providers attended the event from near and as far as Aberdeen to network and share ideas but most importantly, to find out the winners of the awards. Club Hub received 7276 nominations for 298 businesses from people nationwide so congratulations to everyone from that 298 who got through to the finals, you all deserved to be there!

I went along to support Macclesfield franchisee, Megan Jackson who was nominated for ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ award Sponsored by Mess Around UK (also joined by her Mum, Val). Congratulations to Corrine from Kidsize who won this award and to Megan for getting as far as the finals.

Megan has been a franchisee for just over 3 years now and took over the Macclesfield business, following in the footsteps of her Mum Val who also ran a franchise and who now works alongside her. Megan was delighted to be nominated for this award so thank you to everyone who voted for her.

Tessa also gave an insightful Q and A session about marketing and how to make the most out of Club Hub, the online service to locate activities for children from birth to 18 years across the U.K. Club Hub is now a multi-award-winning children’s activities directory. Thank you to Tessa for organising this great event and giving other activity providers a change to meet up.
