10 Reasons to Come to Tumble Tots

25th April 2022

Tumble Tots (UK) Ltd

1. It’s Fun for Everyone!
Tumble Tots is not only fun for babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, but for grownups too!

Grownups actively take part in sessions, until little ones reach the 3 Years – School Age class, to help with their child’s development alongside staff.

Attending classes together each week gives parents the opportunity to spend precious quality time with their little one strengthening their bond and making life-long memories.

2. Fully Trained Friendly Staff
Children learn best when they feel safe and secure which is why all our staff are fully trained!

We always have one member of staff to every six children so they can work closely with each child to build relationships and bring out the best in them.

Building relationships over time is important for children’s learning, personal, social, and emotional development as well as overall wellbeing, and therefore future success.

3. Unique & Bespoke Equipment
Our equipment was specially designed for pre-school children by the original founder and still represents his objectives!

Each individual piece aids a different aspect of children’s physical development in agility, balance, climbing and co-ordination. We use bright colours to help make classes fun and promote early identification of colours which is an important part of a child’s development.

All the wooden and foam apparatus is handmade in the UK to a high standard and unique to Tumble Tots, so can’t be found in other activity classes and helps support British businesses.

4. Benefits Body & Brain Development
The physical activities in our programme support early years body and brain development!

Thirty minutes of “Tummy time” each day is essential for infants as lifting their heads helps to strengthen the neck and upper back muscles which prepares them for developmental milestones such as crawling, rolling over, and sitting up independently ready to start Tumble Tots.

Practising agility, balance and climbing in our classes improves children’s core strength which is the foundation of a healthy body and gives them a better posture, improved concentration and more energy and builds the gross motor skills needed to take part in activities.

Core strength combined with co-ordination activities improves fine motor skills, supporting children’s ability to manipulate objects (such as pens for writing) which is later linked to early literacy, according to the EYFS.

5. Over Forty Years’ Experience
Time flies when you’re having fun, but the past 40 years has given us a wealth of knowledge and experience in child development!

Physical activity has always been and will always be an important part of every stage of life, no matter if you’re 4 months, 4 years, or 4 decades, but seeing a second generation of Tumble Tots whose parents attended when they were younger shows how well we have stood the test of time and how well thought of our classes are.

We work closely with early years experts in line with new and relevant research to maintain our reputation as the best physical play activity and ensure that our programme continues to provide children with the best start in life.

6. Supports Local Communities
By attending classes, you are not only supporting our franchisees, but also their teams and the venues they operate in!

All our franchisees are self-employed and create new jobs in the community by hiring staff, most of which are parents who need flexible roles to work around their families.

Many of the venues that franchisees hire for classes are charities and the money they raise through hiring is used to maintain and improve the buildings which host local events, youth clubs, entertainment, and many other activities which the whole community benefits from.

7. Age Specific Classes
Each class is tailored to suit the age and specific stage of a child’s development meaning that your little one will attend sessions with children of the same age and with similar capabilities:

• 6 Months – Walking
• Walking – 2 Years
• 2 – 3 Years
• 3 Years – School Age
• Gymbobs (School Age – 7 Years)

As children move up through the programme, they will develop and refine their skills further, learn new proficiencies and gain more confidence in their abilities.

Interacting with other children also helps develop their social skills and creates friendships, which leads to improved mental capacity and cognitive abilities, as well as good overall mental health.

8. Designed with the EYFS in Mind
Our classes are designed with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) standards in mind!

Our activities incorporate elements from the seven key areas that the EYFS has outlined as important to ensure that children learn and develop to their full potential:

• Communication and language
• Physical development
• Personal, social, and emotional development
• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding the world
• Expressive arts and design

These give children the broad range of knowledge and skills needed to prepare them for education and future progress through life.

9. Start Active, Stay Active
By taking part in fun classes like Tumble Tots, children develop a positive association with exercise at an early age!

This will encourage them to take part in other activities, sports, and exercise as they grow up, not only keeping them physically healthy but also supporting their emotional health.

Regular exercise helps to lower the risk of developing many long-term conditions and can boost self-esteem, mood, sleep quality, and energy levels, increasing mental health.

10. Essential Skills for Life
The biggest benefit of coming to Tumble Tots is the individual impact on children!

Each child will learn and take away something different that is unique to their personal development needs whether it be physical proficiencies, social skills, cognitive capacities or simply confidence.

These ‘Skills for Life’ will benefit them in other aspects outside the class, at home, when they go to school and in the future, giving them the best start in life.
